Terms & Conditions for Crochet Courses and Classes

Wild Flower Crochet provides crochet courses and workshops. By booking a place on a course, you, the customer, agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Booking & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
  • Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Your booking is confirmed only once payment has been received

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Once a booking is made, it is considered final and non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • If you choose not to attend the course, or cannot attend due to personal circumstances (including scheduling conflicts), no refund will be provided.
  • If you attend only part of the course, you are not entitled to a partial or full refund for missed sessions.

However:

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • If we cancel a course or fail to deliver it as agreed, you will be offered either:
    • A full or partial refund, or
    • An alternative date (where available)

Course Changes & Cancellations by Us

  • We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, insufficient bookings, or events beyond our control).
  • Where possible, reasonable notice will be given.
  • In such cases, you will be offered a transfer or full, or partial refund.

Attendance

  • It is your responsibility to attend all scheduled sessions.
  • We are unable to offer make-up sessions for missed classes, unless specifically agreed with the tutor before purchasing the course and at a higher rate to cover the extra lesson.
  • Course materials and teaching are structured across sessions; missed content is the responsibility of the attendee to catch up on.

Behaviour & Conduct

To maintain a safe and welcoming environment:

  • We reserve the right to refuse or remove any participant from a course if they:
    • Use threatening, abusive, or inappropriate language
    • Display disruptive or unsafe behaviour
    • Act in a way that negatively affects other participants or the instructor
  • In such cases:
    • You may be excluded from the remainder of the course
    • No refund will be issued

Health & Safety

  • You agree to follow any safety instructions given during the course.
  • We are not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to follow guidance.
  • Please inform us in advance of any relevant medical conditions or accessibility needs where possible.

Materials & Intellectual Property

  • Any patterns, materials, or resources provided during the course remain the intellectual property of Wild Flower Crochet.
  • These are for personal use only and must not be copied, distributed, or resold without permission.

Liability

  • We will deliver all courses with reasonable care and skill, as required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • We are not liable for:
    • Loss of personal belongings
    • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Photography & Social Media

  • From time to time, we may take photographs or short videos during classes for use on our website or social media (including Instagram).
  • By attending, you consent to being included in such content.
  • If you would prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, please inform us in writing before the course begins, and we will respect your wishes.

Late Arrival

  • Please arrive on time to ensure you get the most from the session.
  • If you arrive late, we may not be able to repeat missed instruction.
  • Excessive lateness may disrupt the class, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to significantly late participants.
  • No refunds or additional time will be provided for late arrival.

Course Content & Expectations

  • Our courses are designed for enjoyment and skill development; individual progress may vary.
  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes or finished projects within the course timeframe.
  • It is your responsibility to practice and complete any work outside of sessions if required.

Personal Belongings

  • You are responsible for your personal belongings during the course.
  • We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.

Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for failure to deliver the course where this is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to; extreme weather events, natural disaster, government or local restrictions.
  • In such cases, we will aim to reschedule the session or offer an alternative where possible.

Age Requirements

  • Courses are suitable for participants aged 16+ or if under, accompanied by an adult and sought permission first.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry if we believe a participant does not meet the age requirements or cannot safely take part.

Digital Pattern Terms & Conditions

Wild Flower Crochet sells digital crochet patterns in PDF format. By purchasing a pattern, you, the customer, agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Digital Product Description

  • All patterns are sold as digital PDF downloads only.
  • No physical item will be shipped.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure you can download and open PDF files before purchase.

Payment & Delivery

  • Payment must be made in full before access to the digital file is provided.
  • Once payment is confirmed, your pattern will be available for download immediately or via email.
  • Please ensure your email address is entered correctly at checkout.

Refunds & Cancellations (Digital Products)

  • Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final and non-refundable once the file has been downloaded or accessed.
  • By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree that:
    • You waive your 14-day cancellation right once the download begins
    • You consent to immediate access to the digital content

However:

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • If a file is faulty, corrupted, or not as described, you are entitled to:
    • A replacement file, or
    • A refund if the issue cannot be resolved

Intellectual Property & Usage

  • All patterns are the intellectual property of Wildf Fower Crochet.
  • When you purchase a pattern, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use it.

You may:

  • Use the pattern for personal use
  • Sell finished items made from the pattern (small-scale handmade use)

You may not:

  • Copy, share, distribute, or resell the pattern (in whole or in part)
  • Upload the pattern to websites, file-sharing platforms, or social media
  • Claim the pattern as your own work

Skill Level & Responsibility

  • Patterns are written with an intended skill level (e.g. beginner, intermediate).
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the pattern is suitable for your skill level before purchasing.
  • We are not responsible for difficulties arising from lack of experience or misunderstanding of instructions.

Technical Issues

  • If you experience issues downloading or accessing your file, please contact us and we will assist you.
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by:
    • Your device, software, or internet connection
    • Lack of compatible PDF reader software

Limitation of Liability

  • We will provide digital content that matches its description and is of satisfactory quality, as required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • We are not liable for:
    • Indirect or consequential losses
    • Loss of profits or business arising from use of the pattern
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Updates & Corrections

  • We reserve the right to update or correct patterns if errors are identified.
  • Where possible, updated versions will be provided to customers who have already purchased the pattern.
